Erodium seeds

DougAdams_Erodium_sideview_6x4_300_20180

In this series, I bring to form the dichotomy of the fragility and strength of nature, examining both the beauty and organic complexity of nature which is also part of our human essence. The Erodium seeds, also called Heron Bill seeds once touched, unleash a movement where its lines curve and swirl in a circular movement. This movement, like a stroke by a calligraphy master creates powerful gestures.

I find myself “drawing" with the seeds and their shadows, like a choreographer working with dancers on stage to compose a movement in order to express a feeling.
